 WORKSHOP 1: Interested in DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY ?
 
Facilitator: VIC BAUTISTA, is a design manager and photographer based in Hong Kong. Likes hiking, travelling and experimenting in the kitchen. Believes in the power o ...f photography to voice out what can hardly be heard, to spark change where there is oppression, and to inspire where there is lack of it. A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts. Taught Fine Arts subjects in U.P. College Baguio. Welcomes opportunities to support humanitarian efforts through photography.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The Digital Photography Workshop will cover fundamental theories, practical applications, visualization process and post processing to equip participants to take better photos and process them for both print and web publishing.

Dates: April 5-7 , 2012 (Holy Thursday to Black Saturday)

Workshop Fee:
P3,200/person (Inclusive of food and accommodations and workshop fees).

For Baguio Residents and others attending but not staying at the HUB,
Workshop fee is P2,400 (Inclusive of Lunch and Snacks) +P125 if you want to add dinner.

Early Bird Discount:
Get a 10% Discount when you register together for two people or more.

Pastors, Churchworkers, Layworkers, get an additional 5% discount

Discount applies when you register and pay 50% of Workshop Fee by March 20, 2012

TARGET PARTICIPANTS


Anybody who wants to sharpen their skills in digital photography and be able to use it in their ministry.

• Maximum of 12 participants

• With DSLR and laptop with photo editing software preferably photoshop


WORKSHOP 2: SSSH… Syncing Scriptures to the Stage @ the HUB
                                       Using the Bible as Text for Theater Rendition
This workshop presents creative options for church workers and teachers who are constantly looking for fresh approaches to church presentations and teaching strategies. By creatively using the Bible as text, we are making the language of God’s world live as it interacts both with an audience and the actors/students as well.
Dates: April 5-7 , 2012 (Holy Thursday to Black Saturday)

Facilitator: JO ANN CATEDRILLA BAUTISTA is one of the most creative persons I've ever met. I fondly call her my cuzin Juana! aka Cate in the theater circle, has been based in HK for 11 years. She is a theater practitioner, with an MA in Theater Arts from UP Diliman; taught, directed and produced theater in UP Baguio for ten years. On the side, she has been designing modules and facilitating creative workshops for specific needs.

Objective:
Participants learn how to creatively appropriate the Bible as text for Presentational Theater Renditions

Time Frame:
3 days

Number of Participants: 6-10

To Bring: 3 or more Bible versions; laptop.

Output:  A Working Theater Concept Script

Outline:
I. Introducing the language of the Bible and language of Theater
1. Getting to know other Bible Versions/Translations
2. Getting to know Presentational versus Representational Theater

     II. Picking Out the Text
1. Sticking to the Bible Text
2. Appropriating the Bible Text

III. Choosing the Presentational Form (focusing on the following four)
1. Interactive Theater
2. Reader’s Theater
3. Choral Reading
4. Prayer Reading/Theater

IV. Writing the Theater Concept Script
1. Writing/Incorporating Text into the Concept Script
2. Making it Work
